A procedural guide for the decision of localizing consulting services was issued by The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD). In the first phase, 35% of consulting professions and businesses will be localized as of April 6, 2023.
In The second phase, 40% will be implemented as of March 24, 2024.
According to a statement, the targeted activities of this decision in the procedural guide will be applied to all professions in the sector, most notably:
- Financial advisory specialist
- Business advisory specialist
- Cyber security consulting specialist
- Project management manager
- Project management engineer
- Project management specialist
The move should not conflict with the localization rates of other decisions that apply to other employees of the facility under the Nitaqat program.
This decision is expected to provide more job opportunities for Saudi citizens.
Incentives will be provided to support private-sector establishments in hiring Saudis by the HRSD Ministry, in association with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). This is besides reinforcing wages of national workers by up to 50%, providing support for mobility and allowances for shifting from one city to another and training job seekers.
